Question:Has anyone had any experience running the Marathon in Rome, Italy?
If so, how would you rate the course? The organization? etc?
Answer:
no experience but once I get to the marathon stage, running in the
world's great cities really appeals to me - so if you're running it, please
let us have a report :-))
I believe Florence has a marathon too which sounds rather attractive -
certainly more so than the one I'll probably do first in my home town of
Luton (run past the airport, twice round the shut-down car plant and on into
the housing estates)
I haven't run the Rome marathon, but I had planned to for Team
Diabetes. Due to some changes, I had to switch to Kona. My wife is
very disappointed that I will now be running in Hawaii.
Rome is an amazingly flat course for the city of 7 hills. It's
supposed to be fast, and it seemed fairly organized according to
people I've talked to.
