Question:
I've been running since April with friends at work. We started very
slowly (in fact, we still go very slowly!) but worked up to what was
my first half marathon about 5 weeks ago.
I'd like to run a marathon in the next 12 months, but I'm not sure
where to find a good training schedule. I've seen lots of schedules
around on the net and in magazines, but I'm not experienced enough to
know which ones are better than others. What I'd like is to find one
that enables me to get through a marathon without experiencing a
nightmare at mile 20: a couple of friends who've run the distance tell
me that's pretty common. I'm not sure it's possible to avoid it, but
if it is then I'd really like to know the best way of going about it.
Does anyone have any recommendations? All advice very welcome :)
