Question:
I just got my notice that I'm in!! however, the race route reflects 3
start points, green, blue, and red I believe? Does anyone know how the
different starts are determined? age, gender, ??? I'm sure I'll find out
eventually but am curious now! also, if anyone has run this before, what
did you think? I've done 3 marathons, am looking forward to this one!!
Does anyone have any entry details for the (rather oddly named) Flora London
Half-Marathon to be run at Silverstone in March. Whilst a web search through
up loads of hits they were almost all in running clubs lists of events and I
could find no practical details such as:
1. The course
2. The entry form
3. Whether it is full
Answer:I ran London in '91 (then the ADT London Marathon). The start was split
into two forks at the time. Each fork was "seeded" based on your
predicted finishing time. The elite males and females started on
different forks. The forks came together several miles into the race. I
predicted 3:30 and ran 3:28, but as with any large marathon spent a
great deal of time passing slower runners that were in front of me.
That was my 7th marathon, and now after 16 I still think it was the best
organized and most enjoyable. It was also the largest with 34,000
entered. I recently ran Honolulu that had 32,000 entered and over
25,000 finish. While it was also well organized, London was better.

Go to www.runnersworld.co.uk and you can enter online form there(I think it
it under events). I think you may have to register with the site to be able
to apply online but registering is free.
