Question: Are there any discount factory clothing outlets in the Ottawa area or within
driving distance?
Whats with all this hi-tech running tops & shorts, i.e. coolmax, Dryflo &
climalite to name a few. Has anybody tried them out...those in the real
world & not the promoters?! If so, were they any good & why. I would be
interested in your comments before I part with my hard earned cash!
Answer:
There's a lingerie factory-warehouse store on Gladstone near the adult
high school...
You can try Roots factory outlet near South Keys. I would not say they are
discounted but they are quite large.
If you don't mind a one-hour drive to the south end of the 416, you can
visit two factory outlets in Prescott: Hathaway Shirts and Portolano
Gloves. There are signs up in town to point the way.
The last time I endorsed a product even as a joke, my post was attacked by
someone that went by the name SpamHater, so I'm a little nervous now.
I have one of those shirts by Nike, I can't find the type on the shirt
anywhere on the shirt, but it does keep me noticeably cooler than a standard
cotton shirt and it also seems to stay lighter because it doesn't soak up so
much sweat.
As for some special socks I tried, well since they were so thick I didn't
like them, I bought my everyday running shoes on sale and since they are a
size smaller than I normally wear, I have to wear thin socks with them.
Another vote for new hi-tech fabric even in a tropical country
like Thailand whose capital, Bangkok, is hot and humid year-
round. It does not stick to your body much like cotton even
though like Conan said it is still not enough in a very hot and
humid weather like now. Yet it is still better than cotton. Like
you guys, I bought them at running events which often have 50%
discount. But for other purposes, I like the feel of cotton.
