Question:
I am an avid reader of this website and have been running
for about 2 years, and love all of you guys and your advice... It is sad to
say that I just never thought I had enough to contribute to your expert
discussions. I run about 15 miles a week, and absolutely LOVE it!! I am a
28 yr. old nurse, but currently a stay at home mother of a 4 year old and a
1 year old. Running keeps me focused and sane (plus helped to get me back
in awesome shape after babies).
I do however have a question about getting new running shoes: what is a
good all around basic road running shoe? I know you will tell me to go to a
running store, and show them my current shoe, talk to them, etc..., but that
really isn't great option for me. I know of NO running store around me (I
live in a VERY small- 'cow town'- in NY), plus, if there was one around,
taking the kids would just be a nightmare. I would rather order online, and
just be done with it.
I currently have a pair of generic running shoes, that are OK, but old. I
was waiting to get a good pair of running shoes once I decided that this was
really going to be a regular part of my life. Please could you guys just
give me a few names of an all around basic running shoe that will fit most
types of feet? If you need to know, my current shoe is more worn on the
outside and heel of the shoe
