Where to find quality running shoes at discount prices???I just bought my first set of running shoes to start a long awaited fitness
program. Would like more than one pair of running shoes. These cost me
$125.....there's got be high quality shoes cheaper. Does anyone know where
you can purchase quality running shoes online, or discount houses?????
Answer:roadrunnersports.com or holabirdsports.com are two of my favorites. Make sure
of what you want to buy as $125 for a pair of shoes is usually the highest end
and many people simply don't need the highest end. I learned by experience that
a specific shoe that cost $80 might perform better for me than one that cost
$150. This is because people's feet and mechanics are different and shoes are
built for different problems.
Part of what you pay for is a quality fitting by a salesperson who
evaluated how you run and asked questions like "How far will you be
running?" and "Are you looking for a lightweight shoe?"
Sounds like you bought the shoes that the manager told the sales staff
to unload as fast as possible because they are taking up room in the
invintory closet. These may or may not be the right shoes for you.
Lucky if they are and unlucky if they aren't.
Most shoes are suitable for a majority of people so I wouldn't sweat
it. I'd recommend that you visit a running store, if there is one in
your area. It is best to get properly fitted by an experienced person
then go looking for bargains when you know what works for you.
